What a preview link is

An unlisted URL. Anyone with the link can watch until it expires, you close the review, or you ask us to delete it. Default 14 days. Preview video files, titles, the client name you enter, comments, and a token are stored. The source timeline stays on the editor machine.

How to make one

Use an Agency workspace, add a client, clip with that client selected, then Create review. If Library or a new review looks empty, you probably forged in a personal workspace or without assigning the client.

  1. Workspace Open Agency and use an Agency workspace, not Personal.
  2. Client Add the brand. Assign it before you forge.
  3. Review Select clips, set expiry if you want, and create the link.
  4. Export After they approve or request changes, export to disk on this computer.

Does the client get the source video?

No. Only the preview clips you select are uploaded for that review. The master is not uploaded to Clippingli for clipping.
