Bring-your-own-key means you see the OpenAI invoice. Clippingli does not mark those tokens up as a plan. You pay OpenAI for the AI features in the app, at their prices.
Order of magnitude
Public OpenAI speech prices have been near a fraction of a cent per audio minute, with a smaller text bill on top. A 90-minute episode is usually well under a dollar at those list prices, depending on the model you pick. That is not a quote. It is why BYOK exists: you can pick a cheaper model tomorrow without changing Clippingli's price.
Compared with bundled credits
Cloud clippers hide the model bill inside $15 to $29 months. You pay whether the model is cheap or not. Calculator.
